Designer Emily McDowell designed a range of empathy cards after she battled Stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma, beating the disease after nine months of chemotherapy and radiation. She explained: "A card resonates in a way that email and text can’t. It’s a personal, simple, tangible way to be present for someone struggling with illness."
